Can Patriotism Be Proved?

Every one is being asked to prove their feelings for the country. Karan Johar needs to prove that he respects the country, a disabled person who could not stand during the national anthem being played before the film screening has to also prove his patriotism and even students have to prove that they love their country.

How are you handling this pressure? How do you look at it? Do you think patriotism can be proved?

I will agree with the 3rd option. It will be great if not a single Indian uses Chinese goods which will affect the China''s financial status very badly.

Bhavana Jaison Atomic Energy Central School No 2

Then along with this all Pakistanis who ever is working in India should be deported to Pakistan. Why only singers and artists?

Vandana Subash City International School Wanowrie

Speak only Hindi and other regional languages..stop speaking English!

Ritvik Baweja Bal Bharati Public School

If we really want to inculcate patriotism then instead of such things we should start respecring our national ideals such as flag, emblem.

Haya Naved FATHER AGNEL SCHOOL(GAUTAM NAGAR)

No other language other than Hindi should be permitted to be spoken in India, be it English, French, Chinese, Turkish etc. Nobody should be allowed to eat anything other than typical Indian style cuisine. Say no to Chinese, american, continental, french etc.

Humera Naaz St. Anthony Girls Sr. Sec. School

It should start with the government of India as they r the one who gibe them visa for working in our country also allowing trade with china .

Jovita J Christ King Girls Hr Sec School

One''s patriotism and love for the country should not be shown in such a way , it''s like atmost like the ideologies of Germany during World War II.

saishalini Bethel Mat Hr Sec School

I will accept the second and third one of boycotting Chinese goods and foods like sphagetti.

Vishakha Bhalla BOSCO SR.SEC.SCHOOL( PASCHIM VIHAR)

patriotism doesn''t means boycotting all foreign ideologies it is just respecting your country.

Gurudeep M N V S Amrita Vidyalayam -Nesapakkam

Patriotism must come from our heart and soul. I liked the first point. Government should express their views freely so that so that people come up with right ideas. All have their own opinions and its not right to burn all cds as it also causes loss for Indian government and other problems which directly and indirectly effects us. Instead we can questions the actors about the problem as the right to expression belongs to everyone

JogamNithya GITANJALI DEVASHALA, BALAMRAI

1.Always promote the use of Indian Goods. 2.When representing our Country always speak in Hindi. 3.Always wear "Made In India" clothes. 4.Instead of putting up Chinese Food Centers, put Indian Food enters.

JIYA TOMAR B G S NATIONAL PUBLIC SCHOOL

Candidly, all of this seems to be of sheer crassness and absurdity, because merely by boycotting foreign goods and services(artists, singers, clothing, food etc.) we will get absolutely nothing, and will in fact not be able to progress well since all nations at present are interdependent.

Thakur Aastha REUBS

Patrotism comes from heart. This all poings should be followed by Indian youngesters because they are only the future of India. And i think if all youngsters follows all this rules they are protecting our culture and our country too.

Nishi Upadhyay BHARTI PUBLIC SCHOOL (SWASTHYA VHR)

It is really important that we don''t forget everything in this emotion called patriotism.

Khushi Sharma BHARTI PUBLIC SCHOOL (SWASTHYA VHR)

Illlegal or insensible steps should not be taken forward in name of patriotism. Moreover, it should never suppress humanity.

Hafsa Malwat F D SCHOOL

But I am agree with not to use Chinese goods. And I agree with first two options.

Mugdha Chatterjee Delhi Public School, Durgapur

Patriotism means ''love for one'' country''.It is written or said nowhere that in order to exhibit patriotism , we should portray hatred towards other countries.Instead other neighboring countries could become allies and help our country benefit. But if we want to change the definition, we should first ensure tat national flags are never trampled again on 16th August...

Aeshna Jain CARMEL CONVENT SCH SEC 9 CHD

Patriotism is not something that a person can be forced into, neither can it be measured. We cannot ask people to change their beliefs or affiliations, or perform certain activities in the name of nationalism. Just because somebody does not fit into our subjective definition of patriotic, does not mean that they are anti-national. Rather than being so intolerant, we should accept varying viewpoints as a part of society.

Thakur Aastha REUBS

Patriotism is not that you stand during national anthem. If you stand during the national anthem and then u cheat your country. That''s not patriotism. For student the real patriotism is to study well and make their nation pride in whole world. For other people the real patriotism is that they never cheat there country, always do support to their country and be there when the country needs them.

Sanah Malik ST.MARK'S SCHOOL(MEERA BAGH)

Nationalism is a feeling which comes from within, its high time we realize that forcing this feeling upon people is going to do no good. Just by standing during the national anthem doesn''t prove that you respect it . The feeling of pride needs to come from within and I''m sure most of the people of India have this feeling of pride .

Ritvik Baweja Bal Bharati Public School

One can''t enforce patriotism in others, patriotism is a desire that comes from inner self. By respecting the nation and living in harmony with others can help to prove our patriotism. Just by not criticizing our nation and loving our heritage we can show love towards our motherland.

Vihan R. Yalamanchili DDMS P.OBUL REDDY PUBLIC SCHOOL

People should not be forced to prove that they are patriotic in the first place. In our democratic system, people shouldn''t be punished for not having patriotism, as it is their choice. Instead, we should do good deeds that improve the well-being and prosperity of the country. I do believe that we should stop using Chinese goods and use Indian ones to contribute to the nation''s economic progress.

SHUBHAM BANSAL RYAN INTERNATIONAL SCHOOL

i am very patriotic towards my country and i do respect my national anthem. patriotism is not proved or shown. it is a inside feeling for your country.

Mansi Borade PADUA HIGH SCHOOL-MANKHURD

it can get proved only by showing our respect to our country. ''''India".

Meghna Menon NSN Matriculation Higher Secondary School, Chitlap

Patriotism cannot be proved by blindly saying "I love India." It lies in how one follows that. Beginning with our surroundings, let us ensure cleanliness wherever we go. Let us not lose our culture and heritage by promoting western tradition and rather uplift Indian values. Let us greet people with a ''Namastey'' rather than a ''Yo''.Being true to our nation and enriching our values is much more important.

Vishnu Varthan J Bethel Mat Hr Sec School

Patriotism is should need to be there only in our hearts and not in standings.

Brenda Marshal PADUA HIGH SCHOOL-MANKHURD

I agree.. Patriotism should be proved.. One should respect the country by standing up whenever the national anthem is played. I always do so..

Mansi Borade PADUA HIGH SCHOOL-MANKHURD

yes patriotism should be proved because of these our country and our nation could in simple living life.

P. SAI SINDHU ST.JOSEPHS SCHOOL

I feel that patriotism can be proved by everyone, including children by doing small and good deeds for the country. There is no rule that we have to sacrifice our lives for proving our love for the country.Helping the needy people, supporting some useful missions launched by government (like Swachch Bharat,Make In India),paying respect to our national flag and our great national leaders and many other small deeds can be done for the country.

Kartik Thakur D C MODEL SCH PKL-SEC-7

Patriotism is a thing which do not need to be proved. It is one''s own feeling about their country and we can cannot say anyone to prove it, but we should also not disrespect any country for their personal issues.
