Ayushi: Did Bieber Deserve Such A Grand Welcome?

Beliebers waited for this day with bated breath. The day their idol comes here and performs live with full enthusiasm. The day had finally dawned. Beliebers went crazy. The tickets to the concert were exorbitant. It didn't matter for his fans, though. All the high-profile dignitaries like the Ambanis and Khans provided him with top-class services (Salman Khan's bodyguard for his security). The DY Patil Stadium was packed to capacity with over 50,000 fans soaking in the lively atmosphere. Bollywood star also showed up. It all ended in a span of two hours. The concert ended and he left for South Africa. If Bieber was expected to stay in India for a day, why did he receive such a grand welcome? Sources say that his trip was scheduled for 5 days and he had to visit some Indian cities and party with some VIPs. NO. He cancelled all his programmes. Fans say that his performance was low on energy, he wasn't prepared and he lip-synced most of the songs! That must have broken his fans' hearts! After such an organisational disaster, do you think we must receive other international pop stars with such warmth if they display such snobbishness? What are your views?

Hollywood songs are popular globally and Justin Beiber Sings most popular Hollywood songs Or INDIA Loves pop songs so he is welcomed so royally in India.I hope you like my comment

Sourabh Jain BHARTI PUBLIC SCHOOL (SWASTHYA VHR)

He is a famous personality and he is well-known for his composition or songs in hollywood and all overs the world. India has large number of beliebers and they love his songs very much.So he should get a warm and a grand welcome by Indians.

No , I don''t think he deserved this . Before his arrival we were imposed with a long list of arrangements, security, luxury and delicacies that he was to serve for so called ''pop star''.As we know the arrangement s were so exorbitant and were so splendid and magnificent. However , the expenses that our economy had to bear for such an irationale cause went into water. Although ,that too his deed of cutting his programme showed a disrespect to our hospitality.

Himanshi Dhawan Saffron Public School

I seriously don''t understand what all these magnificent preparations for western stars provides us with. Our country has a fountain of talent. I don''t feel that India is in dire need of talented people then why do we prefer Hollywood stars like Justin Beiber to visit our country on which exorbitant money is spent? I strongly agree that all these things ultimately turn out to be snobbish and highlight the foolish thinking of Indians.

I feel that Justin Bieber deserved such a grand welcome as he has a large fan following than any popstar. His songs are not only loved in India but also loved worldwide. He is a very great and famous personality to the world of singing. He can easily win the hearts of the people with his amazing singing and voice. I am the biggest belieber in the world!! JB Roxx!!

Pallavi singh PRESENTATION CONVENT(RED FORT)

As far as spectator are concerned. I think those who can afford to buy such an expensive ticket. They can also afford to go out and witness his concert rather than calling him here and creating a luxurious arrangements for so called pop star. Many eminent people including Duke and Duchess of England visited india but did not demand any luxurious hospitality as him.

Aadrit Banerjee Apeejay School Salt Lake

True... especially after his lip syncing fact I too feel this type of grand welcome was not necessary. Moreover why invest so much money on a pop singer when there are so many areas the country needs to develop itself...

Asmita D.A.V Public School, Thane

The main reason he left was the heat of Mumbai and I don''t blame Justin. And by the way, who wants to attend those Bollywood stars'' parties ? Bieber was just being health-conscious.

Yes, As he is a popstar with much fan following in India and his songs are undoubly famous all over the world. If India wouldn''t WELCOME

Yes, As he is a popstar with much fan following in India and his songs are undoubtedly famous all over the world. If India wouldn''t WELCOME him like this they would be considered as inferior

Devika Singh DELHI PUBLIC SCHOOL GURGAON SEC45 D

Dear ayashi, security was not a show off, bieber has a huge fan following in India and it was India''s responsibility to make sure the mobs do not hurt him. The luxuries were at his own expense and he probably left early because of his other appointments afterall he is an international sensation

Devika Singh DELHI PUBLIC SCHOOL GURGAON SEC45 D

But that does not excuse his lip syncing at the concert. Belibers were heartbroken. However, we cannot be thinking that all other popstars have the same intentions, I am pretty sure none of the other stars will repeat this and take a lesson from this.

Ayushi Pandey LILAVATI BAI PODAR (A)-SCRUZ

Asmita, if Bieber left due to the heat of Mumbai why did he make those opulent arrangements? He shouldn''t have come then. I think you have misunderstood my question. I am asking whether he deserved such a welcome. Is our government so blinded by international stardom that it has forgotten to care about the Indian citizens? NO OFFENCE but I think he has cheated us Indians in many ways. He himself planned those parties with Bollywood stars and those trips to our beautiful Indian cities.

Archisha Ghosh VIDYA VALLEY

There are many Beliebers in India, he has many fans all over the world and is a very famous personality. But I think so we need to understand that many pop stars lip sync. They have busy lives to do so much of preparation. But even India lets go things very easily. Especially because he is a foreigner. Indians just let things go easily and do whatever he wants to. If people get so upset due to lip syncing then people themselves should be convinced if they are ready to listen to his conditions!

Vinutha Kumaran ST.MARY''S CONVENT & PUBLIC SCHOOL (STATE & ICSE)

No, people spent a lot of money for the show''s tickets...but I don''t think his performance worth the money spent by the people... I am a big fan of Justin Beiber so I would like to say him a better luck next time...

Haya Naved FATHER AGNEL SCHOOL(GAUTAM NAGAR)

It is good that India welcomed the singer so grandly but just one thing that made me dislike this welcome was that we welcomed Bieber so nicely and he could not even stay here for two days.

AADYA NAIR DDMS P.OBUL REDDY PUBLIC SCHOOL

I am sorry, but i do not agre with you Sourabh. Hollywood songs maybe popular in India bu,t as far as the Grand welcome which the Indian citizens gave to him was not really required

Rutpreet chadha Learning Paths School, Mohali

yes . justin is a person to whom we can call an ''''inspiring personality''''. At such a small age where we are realising our dreams and learning, he made a single debut by singing baby and topping the charts worldwide . According to me the warm welcome for bieber was appropriate.

Hemalatha.G Sethu Bhaskara Matriculation Higher Secondary Scho

I am a great fan of this young brave man. He got so many fans in India. But, as his performance was not as it was expected, he don''t deserve such a grand welcome.

Akshita Pandey LILAVATI BAI PODAR (A)-SCRUZ

You are right, Rutpreet. Justin Bieber truly has an inspiring and amazing personality.

Deepti hegde CLARENCE PUBLIC SCHOOL

justin bieber has achieved the love and trust of many people across the globe so I don''t think it''s a disgrace that he had so much preparation to organise a concert. Sometimes there is a lot of pressure on artists and sometimes they are disappointing but it does not mean we should stop appreciating their work.

Dilsher Singh Chatha Bhavan Vidyalaya Panchkula

I am with Ayushi. Though no offence to JB but still being a pop star couldn''t he afford his own expensives? Why were the Khans and Ambanis do As after him? Why did they need to give him security? He could afford his security right? Spending so much on a foreign singer? Is that right? If the Khans and Ambanis spent so much money on the needy what loss could they have? If every Indian celebrity started giving performances at such a high cost ,then where would India stand?

Khushi Malhotra RUKMINI DEVI PUB. SCHOOL(PITAMPURA)

No i don''t think he deserved such a grand welcome as before his arrival we heard such long demand lists.

Viraj Thakur CAMPION SCHOOL-

Honestly, spending so much money was foolish. We treat the western stars as Gods. We follow them and support all their decisions(good or bad). He demanded a jacuzzi and a helicopter. We went crazy for him. But in the end, he only played for a short time and lip-synced most of them. We have so much talent in our country, but we fail to notice it. Being so extravagant just showcases our thought process.

PRIYANSHU BALAYAN SHRI RAM SHIKSHA MANDIR

YES!YES!YES! WHY NOT HE IS ONE OF A GREAT STAR IN WORLD HE IS VISITING INDIA FIRST TIME SO CANT WE FANS GIVE HIM A GREAT WELCOME AND AFTERALL EVERYBODY IS FAN OF HIS SONGS HE IS THE BIGGEST POP SENSATION OF WORLD SO HE IS SPECIAL. HE SHOULD BE GIVEN A GREAT GRAND WELCOME.

Aishika Roy Apeejay School Salt Lake

I personally being a Belieber must say that whatever Justin Beiber did was literally wrong ! If he would have performed well with more enthusiasm then maybe he would have deserved that . But what he did was practically not justified .

Rishika Arora CITY INTERNATIONAL SCHOOL -KOTHRUD

we pay thousands of rupees to buy a single ticket of such shows, and what do we get in return?cheated? you need a lot of hard work to achieve something and earn respect from your fans. just cheating and showing that you sing well isn''t the solution.that way you won''t earn respect. because respect can only be earned, not gained.

Ishika Rajput Kolkata Model High School

The day their idol comes here and performs live with full enthusiasm. The day had finally dawned. Beliebers went crazy. The tickets to the concert were exorbitant. It didn''t matter for his fans, though.
