Our Fashion Inspiration Is...

We asked our students whom they consider their fashion inspiration among parents, models, celebrities and/or magazines and there is a clear winner - they like to ape models as they feel runway trends is something that is always fresh and happening. Although, a hint of your "own style" is what makes the BIG DIFFERENCE. Read more here...

Most of us usually look at celebrities and models as our style inspirations. Firstly, because models and celebrities are often trendsetters and secondly because everybody likes looking famous and looked up to.

I get inspiration from my peer groups and as well as celebrities. I read a lot of magazines and I get inspired by their dresses especially those worn by Athia Shetty.

Dhanvi Shah, class VIII, Gopi Birla Memorial School, Mumbai

In today's modern times, social media plays a colossal role in influencing our sense of fashion in a big way. My sense of fashion began from my parents before I moved on to gradually follow celebs and models for decent yet elegant outfits. While I take a cue from their styles I do make sure I select outfits that go well with me and I feel comfortable wearing them. Besides following famous models and celebs I occasionally like to experiment new ideas of my own, which also gives me satisfaction and confidence.

Style is a role model in a super model. Fashion is what makes you feel comfortable and makes you look beautiful. So you should have your own style, your own way. Everyone copies but some are  who have their own style statement. So when its about inspiration you can get it from anyone but having your own USP and the X-factor makes you different and offbeat.
