This Ace Swimmer Has Her Eye On Her Goal

Ace swimmer Shukti Rajesh, from RCIS, Kalyan Nagar, has made the school proud with her passion for the sport. The 14-year-old began participating in state level competitions in 2014 after having won many medals at club level competitions.

She won a silver medal in 200m Butterfly and bronze in 100m Butterfly in the National Inter-school CBSE Competition held at Ranchi in November 2018 (Under 17yrs).

In the South Zone CBSE Inter-school Swimming competition held at Mandya in September 2018 (Under 17yrs), she won gold in 200m Butterfly, silver in 100m Butterfly, silver in 50m Freestyle and bronze in 800m and 400m Free style

She won a gold medal in 200m Butterfly & bronze in 100m Butterfly in Karnataka State Short Course Swimming Championship in December 2017. She represented Karnataka in South Zone Swimming Championship held at Chennai in January 2018 (Under 14yrs) and won the silver medal in 200m Butterfly.

She held the First Position in the state level Aquathlon Championship in 2016 (Under 14yrs) & 2018 (Under 17yrs). She won silver in National Junior Aquathlon Championship held at Pune in June 2017 (Under 14yrs).

Her training consists of intense six hours of work outs every day. She makes time to focus on academics while simultaneously practising to excel in her favourite sport.  All of this would not have been possible without the constant support of RCIS principal Rekha Vinod and her teachers for believing in her dreams; her mentor Mohite and coach Dheeraj Mohite, or their continual motivation and guidance.

Her Motto is to "Never give up and work hard till you achieve your goal”.
