Where Do You Love To Read?

Under the blanket or on the floor?

When it comes to books, it's always a great idea to break out of the back-beaten reading spots, and explore the unknown. While under the blanket and on the bus are options tried and tested, we got five bookworms to confess to the most unusual places where they've ended up reading their beloved pieces of lit.

The Gym?
"I love taking a book to the gym. Hop on to the treadmill, and read a chapter - best way to not get bored and tired too easily. You get stared at, but hey, you've got to do what you've got to do." Aarti Ramnani, professor, Ahmedabad

The Floor?
"I end up reading on the floor next to a charging plug point, 80 per cent of the time. Because Kindle needs charging, and I have no patience to wait till the battery reaches 100 per cent again. Plus it's more comfortable to binge eat, and read at the same time on the floor." Nupur Khanna, writer, Delhi

The Kitchen?
"I love reading in the kitchen while I am waiting for the tea to brew, or waiting for the food to heat up. Perfect use of all those extra minutes which would, otherwise, be spent staring at the microwave display." Akansha Joshi, key accounts manager, Mumbai

The Pool?
"I don't know how to swim so I read in the pool instead. No, seriously. I stand really close to the steps in really shallow water, spread the towel outside the pool area, and keep my book there while maintaining my balance perfectly well in the pool. It's fun." Vidhi Jhaveri, illustrator, Bangalore

Before School?

It always depends on the kind of book I am reading. For example when it is horror I would love to read it under my blanket in the torch or when it is humorous I would love to sit with my friends and read it.

When there''s a interesting novel lying in just front of you, it really doesn''t require a proper place to read. Every place seems suitable to reach the climax of the novel to turn the pages of mystery .. But a calm place could enhance that feeling .
