Nikhita Writes On Being a Good, Effective Student

For most of us, school has begun and classes are going in full swing. Check out these five ways to excel as a good and effective student:

  1. Be organised with all your notebooks and stationery for the next day’s classes beforehand. Have all your necessary equipment ready.
  2. Pay attention in class to what the teacher is saying. When the teacher is giving a lesson, take notes and if you don’t understand something, raise your hand and ask questions to clear your doubts.
  3. Study in a focused manner and keep away from all distractions. Focused studying for at least one or two hours a day will bring about a marked improvement  in your grades.
  4. Do your homework properly. Teachers give you homework for a reason. It is to review what you have learned that day. Take advantage of your free time and finish all your homework.
  5. Take breaks in the middle of study to drink water or for a snack. It is important to stay hydrated and eat healthy food to keep your brain active.
