Navya: We Should Discuss Real Purpose Of Education

The present education system does not nurture talent, it wants to create robots. If we have to improve the education system in the country, firstly we will have to respect each and every subject, irrespective of it being commerce or science.  Then, the teachers need to discuss the real purpose of education with the students. Exploration of the world outside text books should be promoted. The child's aspirations need to be valued. We should not produce scientists and engineers only. We have to produce good human beings — intelligent enough to learn, unlearn and relearn. This will be the holding ground of the times to come.  The education system should be planned in such a manner that the students are taught the things that will be relevant even twenty years down the lane. Even the students should strive to gain as much as he can.

The cardinal purpose of education is to fabricate efficient nation builders. It''s not about cramming the notes and vomiting the same in the examinations instead it''s about interpreting the things and acquiring the ability to understand the difference between the right and the wrong, acting as responsible citizens and grasping the apt manner of leading one''s life.
