Teachers Participate In Capacity Building Workshop

Gian Jyoti Global School, Phase 2, Mohali, hosted a CBSE Capacity Building Program on the topic  of value education, in which 64 teachers from various schools of tricity and Punjab, participated with full enthusiasm. Pankaj Munjal, CBSE-COE trainer was the keynote speaker for the event.
He gave valuable pragmatic inputs which will help the participants in their personal as well as social life. The workshop was commenced with a thought-provoking statement, which led the audience to introspect the whole purpose of the workshop. He  recommended that values should be inculcated in a child’s life before teaching him/her about it. He further said that it is through live examples and simple actions related to kindness, love, care and happiness that one learns.
The workshop revolved around the school academic calendar based on values in education. Addressing the participants, principal Gian Jyot said that values should not be treated as ideal concepts but as empowering tools  which cannot be taught as a subject. She also laid stress that such training to teachers will surely help them to build a better future for students and self-understanding. Praising the resource person’s efforts, director principal Ranjeet Bedi said  that the entire workshop was very interactive and thought provoking and that the school keeps itself at the forefront to address issues concerning quality of education.
