Students Showcase Agility, Dexterity In Sporting Events

The much awaited Annual Sports Day of Kendriya Vidyalaya, OCF 29, Chandigarh, was held with great zeal. The chief guest, principal Meenakshi Gupta, guest of honour vice-principal Vandana Walia and HM Sanju Sundi took the salute of the impressive march past by the students. The chief guest declared the meet open while emphasising on the importance of sports in a child’s life.
The oath of integrity and sportsmanship was administered by the sports captain. A peaceful and energising yoga performance set the tone for the rest of the event. Once the races began, the air was filled with cheering and tons of encouragement for the young athletes. Students of classes I to XII took part in various track events like sprints, relay, 100m, 200m, 400m and many more. Fun races for the teachers added charm to the event.
