Charming All With Rhythmic Moves

SSt Mary’s School, Sector 46, Chandigarh, celebrated its Annual Day-cum- Prize Distribution Function, ‘Aureole 2019’, the glory and free spirit flight of every child having a stamp of halo around their head. The event was graced with the presence of Alka Mehta, DEO, as chief guest and Jaswinder Kaur, SHO, Chandigarh, as the guest of honour.
The celebration which started with the lighting of the lamp was followed by Shiv vandana. The annual school report was read by principal Jose P Thomas.
The programme was amazing and cultural items of different states presented by the students left the audience spellbound. The meticulous movements to foot tapping music of bhangra enthralled the audience and regaled one and all. The message to make the world a better place to live was also showcased through an English play ‘The Merchant of Venice’ by Shakespeare and Hindi play ‘Old versus new era’.
The meritorious students were awarded for their excellence in academic and co-curricular activities. Cash prizes and merit certificates were given by the hands of DEO for academic, science, art and dance.  Father Jacob George congratulated and motivated the students to strive for excellence in a balanced and unified manner. All the guests appreciated the staff and students for putting together a beautiful event.
