How To Overcome Anger?

What is Anger ?

Just as Darkness is the absence of Light, Anger is the absence of Peace and Love. When we lack love and peace, the frustration comes in the form of anger.

Steps to overcome anger

1.Postpone

Postpone your reaction and say stop to your thoughts, emotions and words. After sometime, they themselves will come to a normal stage.

2. Overcoming the cause

Understand why I am getting angry? Sometimes we get angry for silly reasons. We express our frustration on someone for no reason. So, it is very important to understand the cause behind my angry and overcome it.

3. Awareness

I always should be aware of my own thoughts, emotions and words. Also, I should have the awareness that, my original religion is not anger, but it is love and peace. I am a peaceful being. My own self awareness can bring peace to my mind.

4. Break the vicious cycle

When I am aware of what is happening inside my mind, I can stop the negative vicious cycle. If I understand that, my mind is going in a negative cycle, I should take a U turn and go into a positive direction.

5. Expressing in right way

Getting angry is not only the way to express our feelings. What I want to express, I should express it in a right way instead of getting angry.

Learn to...

Remain comfortable when others do not act according to your desire. Still better response is to enjoy the different behaviour.

Recognise...

Your inner motives if they are not healthy. Challenge them.
