Want Clear Skin? Eat These
Mango and Avocado Brochettes

Clear skin is coveted by many, but unfortunately only a lucky few are blessed with one that is acne and blemish-free. What we've always been told about acne being a "teenage problem" could not be more untrue. But, what we don't realise is that sometimes, what our skin appears to be on the outside, is actually a manifestation of what goes on inside. Meaning, "you are what you eat" (unlike what is said about acne), is actually true. So, if clear skin is something you're after, maybe you should be more careful about what you put in your mouth. These are a few foods that you should add to your diet for a radiant dermis.

Foods that are rich in Vitamin E
Sunflower seeds, almonds, avocados, and Brazilian nuts are rich in Vitamin E, which helps to protect the skin from sun damage, and keep it hydrated.

Whole grains
Whole grains like brown rice have a low-glycemic index, stabilise your insulin and sugar levels, which in turn regulates your hormonal functioning causing fewer breakouts.

Foods that are rich in Vitamin C
Vitamin C is extremely important for the production of collagen in our skin, eating fruits like strawberries, oranges, tomatoes, and red peppers can help to give you smoother skin.

Water
Truly the magical elixir that everyone makes it out to be, water helps with everything you can imagine. When it comes to clear skin, water not only helps to throw out all the possible toxins that can cause a detrimental effect, but also keeps you hydrated.

Foods rich in Beta-carotene
Beta-carotene is found in carrots and leafy greens, and is converted to vitamin A in our bodies which aids in making our skin smooth. They may also repair your skin post sun daage.

Foods rich in Omega-3 Fatty Acids
Fish like salmon, mackerel, and pumpkin seeds are rich in omega-3 fatty acids, which reduce inflammation and give your skin a radiant glow. The protein also helps your skin to heal faster.
