Priyanshi Banerjee Thinks Peer Rejection Is Good, What About You?

A teenager’s major part of life depends on her/his teen days. Your friends become such an important part of your life that even though your parents may not approve of a few of them; you still want to hold them close.

Now the question which strikes my mind is that, is it really important to make friends? Is it important to share a good rapport with our classmates? Well the analytical mind of mine says that it is really very important to share a good relation with our friends as it readies us for work place behaviour?

Be it social compatibility or adjusting skills, friends help you overcome all the problems. Our peers give us the opportunities to interact and ponder over problems and patiently hear every solution flicking in your mind.

While some say that 5-10 per cent children suffer from low self-esteem post peer rejection, but I believe that it’s this rejection that teaches us tons about the real life. We can’t always expect each and every person on this planet to accept us! I mean, who is barred from the rejections anyway? So just take peer pressure lightly, rejection or acceptance, doesn’t really matter.

Exactly! Peer rejection is essential as it teaches one the fact that everytime everyone won''t be available for you which is very necessary in today''s self centred era.

A clear rejection is far better than getting harassed by peers due to their emotional approach. We should make them understand that,''A NO from your side simply means NO''.
