Prathamesh Kandale: Will Score Sheet Decide My Future?

Scoring good marks has become a must for students. For that, most of the parents are continuously putting pressure on them. They think that scoring good marks in exam will make the ward a successful person in life. But I personally feel that it is of no use. Your passion in a particular field, your determination and zeal will make you a successful person. Being good in academics is not the key to success. Everyone has their own field of expertise. We have many such living examples of successful people who were utter failure in academics. Everyone has the right to choose what they like. And no one will ask for your 9th std score sheet after you grow up. A score sheet does not have the power to decide my future

Scoring good marks is always the aim of a good student. Well in the 21st century we do need our degrees to get a job with a handsome pay but a sheet full of A pluses or D minuses can never decide my fate. There have been more than a dozen people out there who did not perform well in their schools but today are considered among the list of most famous and most successful personalities. You give your best in whatever you do and success will follow you like mouse chases its cheese!

Satisfying article! Because no one forced me to get marks till I was in 9th and now as I am board student I''m forced by my family itself. Ofcourse it cannot determine my talent and I don''t want to stress myself for that. But to accept it completely all schools, parents and the government have to agree with us.

It''s true that nobody is going to ask for our ninth grade score sheet when we reach at a certain point in our life when we earn. But today''s world is very competitive and not only students but parents too have competition among themselves so as to know who''s child performs much better. And that''s one of the reasons why students are pressurized by their parents to get good scores.

Yes its true . In this century we do not required good marks to make our future . We just know what we get educated by teachers in school . Now a day''s the format should be cleared not the marks . So we should give our best and should not care for marks , indeed for formats

Never.marks are just entry ticket to tje next stage of life.but scoring good mark isn''t bad.you have to build in exta curricular activities also

Not exactly . It actually depends on the profession you choose . See if you want be a sports player, then your studies won''t mind you but if you want to become a doctor or an engineer then surely your score places you .

There is a famous proverb “Tomorrow is my Exam, but I don''t'' care because a single sheet of paper can''t decide my future.” Most of the students these days follow this. This quote is also marked as said by the famous scientist Thomas Edison. I do not know it may even be valid for him, but is it really valid for us?The conclusion is that a single sheet of paper may probably not decide your future, but it can definitely leave some ever-lasting gaps in it.So you better take it seriously.

Arkin Idnani BGS National Public School

A score sheet can never tell what hidden talents a student has and only on the basis of a specific curriculum, is the score sheet of a student decided and that determines his/her future, without actually ever knowing the hidden talents of that student. Co-curricular activities are a great mean of doing so but the co-curricular activities achievements must also be reflected in a student''s score card since marks aren''t the only thing for a student.
