N Padma Priya Asks Why Are Our Politicians Not Educated?

Most of the politicians are not that well educated. And when I say ‘educated’, I don’t simply mean the bookish knowledge. Education here refers to the situations that the voters have to deal with.  The politicians aren't even mindful of the situation we face! The person who has money can bribe the citizens and win, but the candidates who are honest and deserving don't get the chance to even show what they can do for us. I just want to ask wouldn't it be better if there would be some stricter rules and regulations for the candidates?

The main reason is corruption. We should give a chance to the young people to become the politicians. Their thinking is very advanced and they can bring a change in our administration. There should also be a rule that each and every politician should be graduated to become a candidate.

They mostly belong to the villages and are belong from the richer families who have a long family line and do not think education so important for their family members. They first act they know everything an care and respect their country . They do not really hope for it but they do this for becoming powerful . Main cause of their income -corruption

Democratic government should promote leaders who are really eligible for the position. But its like the ancient kings'' ruling type, family members are only elected as upcoming leaders. New comers, educated youngsters are pushed back from entering politics.

KEERTHANA M THE NEW CAMBRIDGE HIGH SCHOOL

well this not fair . When a person has to become a IAS officer or something we check his qualifications . why even when when a child has to be admitted in a school , the management checks his or hers ability with an enterance exam . While we, the citizens of INDIA should be qualified with degrees and merits why not the politicians who rule us?why not they complete their tenth at least ? we should stand against these .The government should no matter what. WE should have them educated

IN OUR COUNTRY POLITICIANS EDUCATION IS NOT NEEDED... THEIR HELPING TENDENCY IS MORE IMPORTANT THAN EDUCATION ...THEIR WAY OF TREATING AND I TOO AGREE THAT SOME POLITICIANS (20%) ARE NOT HAVING THE MIND OF HELPING THE POOR...BUT SOME POLITICIANS HAVE BEEN EDUCATED BY THEIR OWN OR BYE THE PARENTS.. SO I DOESN''T MEAN THAT THE POLITICIANS SHOULD HAVE COMPULSORY EDUCATION.....THEIR TALENT IS MORE IMPORTANT AND HELPING TENDENCY IS MORE MORE IMPORTANT.

Susila Suresh Bethel Mat Hr Sec School

there are some politicians who are no educated but yet successful like kamaraj.

Ritvik Baweja Bal Bharati Public School

I believe knowledge and experience is much needed then education. If a politician is well experienced and knows well to tackle complex problems relate to the nation, than, its well good. So we need politicians who have that courage to change this nation with their mindset, not with their education.

Sachika Lala BGS National Public School

It''s not that many politicians don''t know what we are facing today.Although they know it,they feel that taking action against it is not in their priority list. The honest politicians take all this up seriously. Although they might not be so well educated, they have a lot of experience and the will to change it.So its not only according to the degrees that a person has got, its all about the want to change India.Yes,it would be better if there would be some stricter rules and less corruption

jeevan n v National Hill View Public School

yes the main reason is corruption. we cant make a rule that all politicians should be graduated because there wont be equality anymore then. we can just make a rule for a basic education upto 10th grade

Hansika bhardwaj PRESENTATION CONVENT(RED FORT)

I believe that only those politicians would be eligible who have complete sense of knowledge.and those people only be selected who have the power and can express their views strongly amongst the people.

Nitin Saxena VIKAS BHARTI PUB.SCH.(ROHINI SEC_24

The reason is corruption but not only this relationship between ministers and their brothers & sisters too .Means that if I am a minister I can easily bring my brother to the politics as a minister if he is not well educated .

NAVYA MALHOTRA SWARAJ INDIA PUBLIC SCHOOL

I wish there would be system t check qualities and not merely family relations that get one into politics
