Hemalatha.G: How About A Life Without TV?

You all expressed your thoughts on a life without cell phones. Some can manage and some can't. Now let us think about a life without television. It would be totally different. Many artiste would be unemployed. Their talents would be hidden. Moreover I hope rate of movie tickets will be high. But many live concerts will be held at low cost. There'll be less topics to speak in a round table conversation with our friends. No anchors, no celebrities, no trolls, no serials and especially cartoons wouldn't have been so popular. Our parents and grandparents would feel so bored without it. But there would be no distraction. You'll go to real stage dramas with you friends. You'll have a great time. I think here than students elders will suffer a lot. However it has both merits and demerits. What do you think? Will it be easy to live without TV? What's your take?

It wont be easy, not at all. Plus, as you said, there are many demerits. As for distraction, there are many shows and serials which are extremely informative and so, cannot be considered a distraction. Plus, not only elders, even students will suffer a lot because everyday, we live to watch the next episode of the show and are always very excited to know what will happen next.

Life without TV will be very difficult as TV is beneficial and it even has many advantages. TV is used for entertainment like we can listen to songs, we can watch movies or our favourite TV show or we even get to know what is happening around the world. Excess amount of TV is also bad and harmful for the eyes. TV is the main source for entertainment after the hectic studying schedule. I cannot imagine a life without TV.

I think in today''s world living without television is like living without food for some of us. As every form of technology television also has some pro''s and cons and it depends on how we use it

Managing life without a television would not be so difficult for me because I get my news from the newspaper and I have my best friends, i.e., books to give me company. Besides, having no televisions is a good idea because people will step out of their houses and will abstain from becoming couch potatoes. As you have mentioned above Hemalatha, people will spend their invaluable time with their friends and family. Bonds will become stronger by blood.

Living without a TV is not at all difficult for me as I will have my companions i.e my books to read.Besides ,I will be able to spend more time with my friends and relatives thus making these bonds even more stronger.I will even be able to work on my physical health rather than just siTTing comfortably in a couch and watching TV.

It would be too difficult to lead a life without telivision. Telivision is an essential part of our life. It is necessary for entertainment and knowledge. In fact, I have gained 60 % of my knowledge through telivision. Don''t you agree that we can''t imagine a life without telivision? I can never imagine such a life.

Asking an alcoholic to quit drinking will be like hell for him. But we know that life without alcohol and drunkards will be a heaven. It is very difficult to quit watching TV once you get addicted to it. But if the world was without TV. people would talk to each other more, we would nurture our hobbies and would read more leading us to be a better person in all aspects.

Rishikesh Amit Nayak D.A.V. SCHOOL

Possible only if we have a great spirit of learning from the outside world without watching television............................

A life without TV, if I say, is easy because if I talk about myself, I am not a couch potato.

Oh I cannot live without TV. It is my best tool for killing off time when I don''t want to study or do anything else. Comedy on TV also lightens my heart when I am sad. For me, a TV is and indispensable device for loosening up my emotions.

"A life without television? That will not be easy." Some will say. But some will say it impossible. But its a great idea.I have a friend. One day I went to her home I asked her "Shall we go outdoors and play?" But there was no response I asked her 4 times but no response. Then her mother said to her that I want to say something. She asked me what I want to say,I told her. And after all I got the answer. The answer was"No, I want to watch the television."
