Harini MS Asks Why Have Reservations At All?

We live in a world where science is overrated. I would not want to comment on that because many people have already done it. But I have a question. Studying science implies having to attend classes for competitive exams like NEET, which involve a lot of hard work and stress. Studying something extra along with your already burdensome syllabus. I don't think it's relaxing.

But here comes the twist. NEET, for instance, is on a nationwide basis. And that involves way many reservations through quotas. Ultimately our qualification mostly depends on our luck. Why do we have to put in so many efforts when ultimately we aren't chosen for our talent?

If reservations do play a more important role in getting aspiring students of science colleges, why do you have to put them through so much stress? Why not just ban competitive exams and reduce the stress? Or, just do away with reservations and look into genuine talent and capability!!

Yes, there should be no reservations at all because it kills the talent of a person. Very true.

DIWANSHI SHETIJA BHARTI PUBLIC SCHOOL (SWASTHYA VHR)

As per my thinking level i feel that reservations are just there to maintain so called equality in state. But just giving importance in showcasing equality is not an agenda used to progress the country. Children''s talents should also be dealt with great importance and should be given required respect. We are able to understand the process of reservations in early stagnant period of development but it is stringently not accepted in today''s modern and urbanized state.

Gold glows when kept near or on the furnace. Similarly the talent of an individual craves out when put under pressure reservations are just shortcuts to success which are not all long lasting so it must be eradicated

Ritvik Baweja Bal Bharati Public School

Reservation definitely add to the corruption in a country. many general category people are trying to get their cut in the colleges or jobs but these reservations eat up all the seats. These OBC''s and SC''s should also be tested based on their talent.

Khushi Sharma BHARTI PUBLIC SCHOOL (SWASTHYA VHR)

In today''s era there is no point in having reservations for anyone. Individual talents should be allowed to flourish and opportunities should land in the hands of the deserved candidates instead of the reserved ones.

Shardul Gadre VIDYA NIKETAN

Reservations are just to guarantee of equality among people. But, it is said that nobody can steal our talent and our education. Hence reservation should not be there.

Vishnu Varthan J Bethel Mat Hr Sec School

Reservations are there to test our talents but not to examine our talents.Well If you have talent then you should win the reservation :) .

Harini.V Bethel Mat Hr Sec School

Reservations are of no use. Every student should be selected for admission in colleges only by their talents and abilities. Even the board exam marks should not be considered, as it just reveals the memory skills and not the knowledge. Competitive exams should be conducted fairly and students should be selected.

NAVYA MALHOTRA SWARAJ INDIA PUBLIC SCHOOL

till we create an equal society ,we will need reservations

Yes, I also think that there should be no reservation instead more schools and collages should be made.Better give them resources than reservation.
