Tavisha: Nuclear Family or Jt. Family: What's Better?

I strongly believe that grandparents are the magic pot of the customs, traditions, moral values. In a nuclear family, with both parents working, there is not much time to spend with their children. It leads to independent children, and this ends up in them doing whatever they like be it wrong or right. There is no one to watch their actions and warn them beforehand.

There are many incidents where children may get injured when alone in house.  Moreover, children have a lot to learn from all the members while living in a joint family. I also feel there are more responsibilities on the parents while living as a nuclear family. Also, children have minimal interaction with each member of the family when they live as a nuclear one. Thus, they may get distanced from their own people. They don't like visiting their relatives place or family get togethers. They might even get influenced towards choosing the wrong path. Don't you think so?

Do you agree with Tavisha? Do you think children living in a nuclear family set up are too spoilt for a choice? Which is better living in a nuclear family or joint family?

The children living in nuclear family will be having some defects compared to the children living in a joint family.Because the children living in a joint family can understand the feelings and the sacrifices rather than the children living in nuclear family. So I think living in a joint family is better than living in a nuclear family.

Well I think children living in nuclear family or joint family are equally good. See there are pros and cons of everything. There are some benefits that children in nuclear family get and others that children get in joint family..!

Joint families are far better than nuclear ones. One gets all kind of support that he/she needs throughout life, life becomes lively, one faces all sorts of emotions-love and quarrels, fun comes in,boredom is kicked out,one would hardly feel alone and the children too get the love, care and attachment they deserve and are smarter than the children brought up in a nuclear family as they learn from suggestions and mistakes from their elders resulting in having more experience.

I think living in nuclear families is better because joint families can act as a disturbance during exams or in academics .Secondly they can also snatch your private time with your own family.

Gone are the days, when joint-family system existed in India. But now join-family system is dime-a-dozen and people are living separately with their intermediate family only. This is really sad. Children I feel need care and attention which they hardly get from working-parents and so they take are given full-liberty and they take everything for granted.

Joint-family system for me is the best.
