Priyanshi Says Small Acts Of Kindness Matter

The smallest act of kindness is worth more than the greatest intention” is what I always hear but never got a chance to experience. On July 25, my birthday I received this most precious gift — “the act of kindness”. My friends and family were busy preparing for a grand celebration for my 16th birthday, but the zeal was missing in me. It was also my  maid’s birthday – she was silently involved in the party celebrations. She was calm and pretended to be happy as I was receiving gifts and blessings while she got nothing. It was nobody’s fault as she had never said anything to anybody except me. I went to the corner where she stood busy blowing balloons and wished her a very happy birthday. She urged me to stay silent because she felt it would  steal my thunder. I stayed quiet and joined my friends who were in a jubilant mood. The cake- cutting moment  came.  I disclosed my maid’s secret to everyone. Both of us cut the cake together. I could see tears rolling down her cheeks as she had never imagined that her birthday would be celebrated amid such a huge gathering. I hugged her and felt very happy to have made her day.

Very nice! This proves that the world is not completely strived off all the nobility. Such instances highlight the goodness of human heart. And how can we forget that some fragrance clings to the hands giving roses.

One small act of kindness can make one smile brightly. If each one of us make one act of kindness in one day, it can give thousands of people a billion dollars smile.

To make someone happy you don''t have to throw parties or buy expensive gift. You can just do something really small and bring a smile on that person''s face. Mother Teresa also said," Not all of us can do big things but we can do small things with great love." And I think this is absolutely correct.

I believe rather than big moves, it is the small moves that count and leaves a long lasting impact on the person and on the world. Kindness is very important in a person, it reflects that humanity is still alive in a person.

Well that''s really something great and I also agree to the fact that small acts of kindness matters a lot. In these days where humanity is busy counting grains, such acts have become rare. We should try and be kind and inculcate other life skills which are necessary to create a better world where both you and I can live in peace.

In my school, several such initiatives are taken up, where we get a chance to extend our helping hands. May it be while distributing food, cloth articles, to the underprivileged or making them a part of various school activities we all feel great and happy. And the smile on their face just makes our day.....

hey Priyanshi didi you have done something great. Because gifts the extreme feelings of a person are always presented by tears. The emotion may be sadness, fear or happiness, so when you could see tears in her eyes it means she actually felt the kindness of your heart and being presented with a surprise on her birthday. Awww:) it is just an awesome feeling......
