Ishika Jain: Practical vs Theoretical Education

Education is the most important element for any child’s development. Theoretical knowledge is based on the experience of others, leading to deeper understanding of the text. Practical knowledge depends on personal experience, which one gets through the act of doing. It is the best way of learning as it stays in the mind of students for a longer time. Today education has become very degree-oriented and is more inclined towards theoretical knowledge which only helps students to learn and reproduce it on paper. Practical knowledge is not possible without theoretical knowledge because without theory you cannot practice. On the other hand, theoretical knowledge is not possible without practical knowledge because only through practicing can you understand the text much better.

According to me practical knowledge is far more important than theoretical education. If one has only theoretical value then he can never succeed in life... For doing anything to everything practical know is required. So the schools should focus on imparting practical knowledge rather running before marks and ranking...😉😉😉

I think Practical knowledge is more important in our life. But Theoretical is also important as it decides our future. Now a day''s we only get good job''s because of our ranking and grade''s of school-time or collages. And,I am not trying to say Practical is not important. It is but for us to get more grades in Theoretical. As they are like Teacher an a student. If Theoretical is a Teacher then Practical is a student and both are incomplete with out each-other.

Well, practical knowledge is far more better than theoretical knowledge. For instance - If a scholar student and a mediocre is asked to sell a pen, the scholar one will brainstorm a lot on which marketing skill to apply, whereas the mediocre one without any second thought will sell it. So, I feel that practicality is the need of the hour.

It is really excruciatingly depressing to see well-qualified youngsters struggling hard to get a job as they lack practicality. Indian education system should be amended. Instead of theoretical knowledge, schools and other educational institutions should focus on practicality.

I think practical knowledge is more important than theoretical knowledge. But theoretical knowledge is also important. In the there may be practical knowledge as well as theoretical knowledge.

According to me practical knowledge is far more important than theoretical education. But nowadays we get jobs for grades we get not for the knowledge we have. According to me the system should change.

i believe that practical knowledge is what matters in times of crisis because theoretical information tags us ''well trained '' and not ''well educated '' . unless we practically imply our knowledge we don''t really understand the concept of learning , do we ? so application of every little science , math , history and geography should be practiced time and again so that the idea of the content gets pasted forever.

PAVITHARADEVY.I Amalorpavam Higher Secondary School - Puducherry

Practical knowledge is better than theoretical knowledge because "Practise Makes A Man Perfect". Practical knowledge depends on the personal experience which can improve one''s knowledge compared to the theoretical one. But theoretical knowledge is given more importance as one''s life depends only on their marks these days.
