Hardik: How Computers Have Changed Our Lives

Computers are used in large numbers all around the world. The can do anything from just about adding two numbers to searching for things on the internet. We can listen to music and we can also play games on computers. We can chat and communicate with our friends and families through computers. Emails are also used for communication for official purposes. Nowadays there are many IT firms all around the world. Many schools are also preferring computer over notebooks as one computer can take care of the data of ten subjects, while you will need many notebooks to do the same. Therefore they occupy less space. The paper usage is also reduced, which makes computers Eco-friendly for student use. A student also find almost any answer to a question from the internet. A child can multitask on a computer but not while studying from books. But everything has its own pros and cons, even computers have their own advantages and disadvantages. A computer is a one time investment and is not as cheap as compared to books. Also, the rays emitted from a computer screen is harmful for the eyes. Continuous usage of laptops and computers for several hours can cause stress in the eyes as well as headache. So, computers are very useful. But, the have to be used properly or else they can also prove to be harmful.

The topic of computers being a boon or a bane is highly debatable. But the statement quoted by Harkid is a mind opening question. We can say that computers have really changed our lives in the recent 20 years and provided us with great advancements but at the same time hit us with major setbacks.
