Genius Group Of Schools Plays A Crucial Role In Organizing The Same On February 5...

With a successful organization of Rajkot Half Marathon 2016 last year, this year Rajkot Municipal Corporation and Gujarat Police have decided to organize Rajkot Marathon 2017 on February 5, 2017.  The main motto of organizing the event is to keep Rajkot City clean and support it in the race of getting recognition in the Smart City list.
The famous leading personalities of Rajkot have taken up the responsibility in the conduction of the event on that day.  The famous cricketer- Cheteshwar Pujara has been nominated the Brand Ambassador for Rajkot Marathon. The Marathon is divided into six categories-Full Marathon of 42 kms, Half Marathon of 21 kms, Dream Run of 10 kms, Rangeela Rajkot Run for 5 kms., Senior Citizen Run for 2.5 kms and Special Run for 1 km. Different committees have been formed for the same who will be looking after the smooth functioning of the event from Registration to Execution.
Genius Group of Institutions-Genius English Medium School and Jay International School feels privileged to be a crucial part of Rajkot Marathon by getting nominated as the Official Registration Partner. The chairman of Genius Group of Institutions- D V Mehta is governing the whole process of offline registrations. The staff and students of both the schools-Genius English Medium School and Jay International School have visited different educational, non-educational and government institutes and have carried out the process of registration by creating awareness among the public. Students specially performed a Rally in the most busiest part of Rajkot city-from Mahila College Chowk to Panchayat Chowk during they displayed posters and banners related to Rajkot Marathon. The Grade XI Com students along with their section-head Kajal Shukla and teachers-Roshni Thavani and Neerja Mam have visited RMC office, Bahumali Bhavan, Police Headquarter Department, different Self-finance Schools of Rajkot, Colleges, other social groups etc. to spread the word. Genius Group of Institutions is organizing Flash Mob at Crystal Mall and Bal Bhavan.
The main Idea behind organizing such a mega event is to promote national integration in Rajkot, to create environment for Sport, Health and Hygiene in general public, to develop sporting spirit among Rajkotians and to promote running and encourage a fit and healthy lifestyle in the city of Rajkot.
