Literary Fest In Lawrence School, Sanawar

The Lawrence School, Sanawar hosted its first Literary Festival 2016 recently. Teams from eight schools took part in the event, namely St Kabir Public School (Chandigarh), Strawberry Fields High School (Chandigarh), St Luke's Sr Sec School (Solan), Bhavan Vidyalaya (Chandigarh), Dayanand Public School (Shimla),  Welham Girls' School (Dehradun), Doon Public School (Panchkula), and host The Lawrence School, Sanawar.
The theme of the festival was 'Indian Mythology'. Sita Ram Mardi (IPS) Director General (Home Guards), Commandant General (Civil Defence) and director (Fire Services) Govt. of Himachal Pradesh, was the chief guest at the occasion.The festival started with a panel discussion on various aspects of mythology by distinguished littérateurs Professor Chetan Singh, Professor Roma Chatterji, Professor Ramesh Kuntal Megh and Professor Tulsi Raman.
A quiz was also conducted on Indian mythology, followed by a five-minute presentation by the participating teams. Headmaster Vinay Pande conferred a token of appreciation to the chief guest and extended his vote of thanks. The festival concluded with a Book Fair.

2nd runner up : St Luke's Sr Sec School, Solan
