52nd Annual Day at GSSJV

Guru Shree Shantivijai Jain Vidyalaya celebrated its 52nd Annual Day recently. The tiny tots of the kindergarten and the students of the primary class presented colourful and vibrant cultural shows. The Chief Guest, C Kamaraj IAS Director, Department of Milk Production and Diary Development, Government of Tamil Nadu, the Chairman of the Vidyalaya, P Gautamji Vaid, Hon. Secretary, K Prakash Chandji Jain and the Principal, R Varadharajan. The formal function commenced with the lighting of the ceremonial kuthuvilakku by the dignitaries on the dais and the school deans. The Principal presented the School Annual Report (2017-2018). The Chief Guest spoke about the role of parents, teachers and the students. He also urged the students to utilize all the opportunities that came their way. The Chief Guest gave away the prizes and cash awards to the meritorious students. The thematic show of talent, imagination and organization by the high school and junior college was the essence of the evening. The Edutainment program on the theme ‘Mahatma-The Great Soul of India (150th year) depicted the ‘Principles of Gandhiji’ in the form of dance and drama.

Times Newspaper in Education (Times NIE) is a novel program that helps students ‘Stay Ahead’ and aims at making ‘Learning Fun’. It introduces concepts that help individual growth and development beyond school curriculum.
