PC And Michelle Work On A Cause

Priyanka Chopra and Michelle Obama are joining hands for a girls’ education campaign, claim reports. According to a report, Michelle had proposed the idea to Priyanka Chopra in April, 2016, when they met at the annual White House Correspondents Dinner. A bollywoodlife report quoted PC saying, "She (Michelle Obama) discussed the work I do with UNICEF and how we should work together for the education of the girl child. It was like they knew all about me. Can you imagine being the head of State and having to keep in mind everyone, but being able to do that? That, to me, was impressive."

PC had shared this news when she had posted a picture on Instagram, where she had also mentioned this campaign in her post.

She had captioned the picture saying,  “Lovely to meet the very funny and charming @barackobama and the beautiful @michelleobama. Thank you for a lovely evening. Cannot wait to start working on your girl's education program.”

The education programme that they have joined hands for is called ‘Let Girls Learn’ and the major aim of the programme will be to facilitate education for 62 million girls worldwide, who at present do not go to school. This programme was launched in 2015 and it funds education projects like girls’ leadership camps and school bathrooms.
