Another Clash To Watch Out For

The year 2016 saw the resurgence of Akshay Kumar at the box office with the hattrick of Rs 100 crore hits and saw a rare roadblock in the career of Shah Rukh Khan with a disappointment in Fan, which couldn’t even reach Rs 100 crores at the box office.

As reported by some trade analysts earlier Akshay Kumar had created a new record in 2016 which even Shah Rukh Khan and Salman Khan couldn’t break, but looks like the record’s not for long to stay. After not so great last few years, Shah Rukh Khan’s not just all set to bounce back and reclaim his throne, but he’s gonna break a few records on the way too and one such record is Akshay Kumar’s Rs 100 crores hattrick in a single year.

Yes, if all goes well, SRK’s going to have three releases in a single year for the first time in last decade. While having multiple releases in a single year is nothing new for Akshay Kumar, if one has to look at SRK’s filmography it all goes back to 2004 when not two or three but four of his movies released in a single year with much delayed disaster Yeh Lamhe Judaai Ke, a hit in Main Hoon Na, a super hit in the form of Veer-Zaara and critically acclaimed but commercial failure Swades.

If all goes as per plan, come 2017 and we’ll have Raees on Republic Day weekend, Imtiaz Ali’s tentatively titled The Ring on Independence Day weekend and Anand L Rai’s next dwarf movie during Christmas weekend.

You were all praises only for akshay Kumar but remember even that the highest films to reach RS.100 crore is Salman with almost 10 films crossing this mark whereas akshay Kumar has only 6 films. And to say, aamir khan is the person with the highest Box-office collection of PK being Rs.792 crs worldwide and the second film is also aamir Khan''s Dangal. In this list akshay is not to been seen till top 15 I think so.

And do you know that the highest opening day collections till date was by Srk for Happy New year at Rs.44.97 crores.Hence, we can''t say one is the Box-office king in Bollywood. It is wrong to say one as a failure and other as a blockbuster.Everyone are unique in their own way according to me.Please don''t praise only one actor and hurt the sentiments of fans like us.I strongly feel this article is not right.

P S Geethanjali Bhartiya Vidya Bhavan S.V Vidyalaya

But sorry I can''t agree with you all saying only one is the Box-office king everyone are unique in their own way. According to me,every actor who devotes himself to a movie and does his best is a Box-office king.I can''t agree with this article anyway.

yes akshay is a legend

Hiya Kilam global indian internatonal school

Akshay Kumar is a good actor, but Shah Rukh Khan is far more experienced and strives for perfection. Thus, according to me, SRK is still the king of bollywood.
