Sonam Says Stand Up For #Padmavati

Be it Devdas or Bajirao Mastani, Sanjay Leela Bhansali's films have always depicted historical facts in a dignified and genuine way. There has been no obscenity when it comes to cinematic representation of mythological and historical characters in his films and he has always tweaked and represented characters in a graceful way.

However, the whole fiasco that happened on the sets of Padmavati has shaken the entire country, especially, the film fraternity. Members of Karni Sena stalled the shooting of the film at the Jaigarh fort and attacked Bhansali. Reports claimed that they didn't just slap him, some protestors even tore off his clothes.

After the attack, many from the film fraternity extended their support to Sanjay Leela Bhansali.

Sonam Kapoor took to Instagram to urge PM Modi to take a strict action against the whole incident. She wrote, "A gentle reminder sir... a couple of days after republic day if we as an industry have to deal with such humiliation for expressing ourselves, it's frankly very disheartening. Please stand up for us. #Padmavati"

I do stand for the movie. This is nonsensical, as the protesters haven''t even seen the movie yet. Rumors might''ve been spread and made this unnecessary drama happen.

Hiya Kilam global indian internatonal school

I am sure that ''Padmavati'' will be the biggest hit of the year, no matter what people say. I agree with Sonam Kapoor and stand up for Padmavati.
