Bollywood Actors Who Are Singers

There was a time when the actor's job was to act but gone are those days. Today some of the most established actors don't mind lending their voice to a song and, surprisingly, some of them have turned out to be very good. Let's take a look at these 10 actors who also have sung in the movies starring them.

1. Amitabh Bachchan: This star of the millennium has proved his mettle in singing as well. How can one forget the iconic "Rang Barse" sung by him in the movie "Silsila" (1981) which after 3 decades still remains the most played song at Holi? Big B has also sung in several other movies such as 'Babul', 'Kabhie Khushi Kabhie Gham', and 'Bhootnath'.

2. Farhan Akhtar: This producer-director-actor also tried his hand in singing with his acting debut "Rock On" (2008), in which he lent his voice to five songs and all of them became a huge hit.

3. Salman Khan: We first heard him singing "Chaandi ki daal par" in 'Hello Brother' (1999) and more recently, "Hangover" in 'Kick' (2014). After a gap of almost 15 years, we must admit he is a promising singer.

4. Aamir Khan: Mr Perfectionist proved his singing skills too when he sang "Aati Kya Khandala" in Ghulam (1998). He charmed everyone with his voice and the song became an epic one.

5. Sanjay Dutt: Remember him singing "Aye Shivani" from Khoobsurat (1999)? The song was a hit and is still remembered today. He later sang in Zinda (2006) along with Pakistani band "Strings".

6. Shahrukh Khan: Who can forget "Apun Bola" sung by him in Josh (1999)? That song topped the charts for a long time. King Khan will also be seen singing in his much-awaited "Happy New Year".

7. Kamal Haasan: The actor first gave his voice to a song in the Tamil movie "Andharangam" released in the year 1975. Since then, he has sung in many movies starring him. He also lent his voice in 3 songs in his 2013 starrer, 'Viswaroopam'.

8. Aayushman Khurrana: When it comes to singing, the actor needs no introduction. His "Paani Da" from 'Vicky Donor' was a huge success and also got him a Filmfare award for the best male playback singer in his debut movie. Later, he sang in his other movies too.

9. Hrithik Roshan: For the first time we heard him singing "Senorita" in the movie 'Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara' (2011). It was fun to hear him croon.

10. Abhishek Bachchan: Following his father's footsteps, he also showed his singing skills and did a rap in 'Bluffmaster' (2005) and later in 'Bol Bachchan' (2012).
