Archer, Bhagat Most Read In 2016

Chetan Bhagat and Jeffrey Archer are not only the best selling authors when it comes to published fiction, but they also rank at the top in the list of writers who are popular in the digital world.

According to a recent survey by Kindle e-book, English author Jeffrey Archer's book 'Cometh The Hour' and 'This Was A Man' are among the top five bestsellers.
 

 
While the book 'One Indian Girl' by popular Indian author Chetan Bhagat tops the chart of the 'most borrowed' and 'most wished for' categories. These among other amazing e-book reading trends of the year 2016 based on actual consumption in the country were released by Kindle on January 19.
 
Best Read City

Mumbai beat Delhi to be the best read city of India, Bengaluru, Chennai and Hyderabad were also not left behind as the top five well-read cities repectively. The list top bestsellers of the past year was topped by international author Jeffrey Archer for his book 'Cometh The Hour' by. But, Indian authors didn't lag behind as Savi Sharma's debut novel 'Everyone Has A Story' ranked second, while 'The Sialkot Saga' by Ashwin Sanghi ranked third. Archer's 'This Was A Man' bagged the fourth position too for this category. 
 
Literature, fiction most read 
The survey also said readers loved reading literature and fiction the most revealed the survey. This is followed by the genres--romance; health, mind and body; children and young adult; and business and economics.
