Will The Country Be Free Of Black Money By Year End?

BJP chief Amit Shah has claimed that the country will be free of black money by the end of this year. Your views?

Demonetisation was no doubt a great step. However, the execution could have been better. There are no norms without loopholes and the big shots always get away no matter what. Only time will tell if this step is a successful one. Even if all the black money isn't eradicated, some of it definitely will.

Jishnu Bandyopadhyay, class XI, Apeejay School, Kolkata

This statement is premature. I don't think any country can ever be free of black money. Shah can claim that there is a considerable drop in the black money present in our country but that’s debatable. As much as I'd love to see a black money-free India, I know it's quite an impossible dream at the moment.

Delara Banaji, class XII, Mount Carmel, Ahmedabad

If Shah’s claims are indeed true, it will be no mean feat. India needs to be free of black money in order to bring about monetary parity in the country. All said and done, it is an uphill task, and demonetisation was just the beginning. India still has a long way to go.

it depends...........

This is a debatabal topic. However, if we support the government in its initiative rather than taking out faults it may be possible. India has to go a long way and it has already taken the first step by launching demonetisation.

Sagnik Debnath Cambridge Public School-HSR Layout

I don''t agree with the statement. With cases of cash stealing, will the demonetization movement seriously help end the circulation of black money is a major question asked.

JIYA TOMAR B G S NATIONAL PUBLIC SCHOOL

Candidly, this isn''t very much possible because this is a totally new concept that has been introduced and will naturally take up enough time to come into practice as a whole.

Emily Liz Gilbert CHAVARA INTERNATIONAL ACADEMY

Demonetisation has been a great leap towards this goal. This reduces the chances of spreading black money. If we all just try, we can make India a black money-free country. So let''s work towards this.

RIYA MITTAL Convent of Jesus and Mary

It is not possible to deprive the country of black money absolutely. But yes demonetisation was a great step and something is always better than nothing.

Ritvik Baweja BAL BHARTI PUBLIC SCHOOL (PITAM PUR

I disagree with this, a mere demonetisation policy isn''t enough to eradicate black money from its roots. The clever black money holders must have cleared their chits by now and by devious means they will attain their black money again. If BJP wants to stop the inflow of black money and really wants to throw the false goons in jail then it should come out with fresh new amendments in the prevailing acts and completely isolate these black money holders with new plots and well execution of them.

S.VIDHYAALAKSHMI SHREE NIKETAN MAT -

I am not sure because in some places it continues

MAYANK GUPTA K.D.B. PUBLIC SCHOOL

i believe it was a gud step but bcoz of improper implementatation the black money holdersa get all their black money turned into white.thus the plan totally punctures.only a small amount of black money will India get.

shrey jogani Gopi Birla Memorial School - Walkeshwar

It''s a very good move taken by the PM. But if feel that our country will not be free of black money so fast as many of them yet have it. This is a long process . Yes, but India may get free after 6 months to one year

SHUBHAM BANSAL RYAN INT. SCH. SOHNA RD GURGAON

it depends on the circumstances.

MISHI JAIN HAPPY SCHOOL(DARYAGANJ)

This is true that black money will be less than it was some time back, but it cannot be finished. It can become much lesser by taking a few more steps.

well, success prevails as long as hope is there. So we can just hope for the best to come and since it is a very good move on the honourable PM''s part so we just wish and hope that it would be a grand success and if not by the end of this year may be in the coming few months...

Renisha Christy.R Bethel Mat Hr Sec School

I don''t think black money can be eradicated. The act of demonetisation, though a great step, is not a complete success.

Haya Naved FATHER AGNEL SCHOOL(GAUTAM NAGAR)

No one could actually predict this at this moment. It will depend. Let''s see what happens. Hope it happens.

Emima Thangapandi PADUA HIGH SCHOOL-MANKHURD

I don''t think so because in 3 days they had made black money and every one knows that black money is not lower or middle class people, its only with higher class people so I think this dissension is right but action which was taken is not good so I don''t think that black money will not be there by this year.

Nishi Upadhyay BHARTI PUBLIC SCHOOL (SWASTHYA VHR)

I don''t think we will be free but corruption will certainly be reduced.

MANAS KUMAR BAL BHARTI PUBLIC SCHOOL (PITAM PUR

I think it will be too early to comment upon the present step. Only time will reveal whether this will prove out to be as effective as it is being said. Earlier people were quite euphoric about the move and were giving it a status of ''Master stroke'' but after seeing the present situation from an economist''s angle it appears that the move is literally failing out due to lack of institutional management.

MANAS KUMAR BAL BHARTI PUBLIC SCHOOL (PITAM PUR

From an estimated wealth of 14 lakh crore around 10 lakh crore has been deposited, this means that more of the black money has been converted to White.

KS VARAGUNAN SHREE NIKETAN MAT -

Maybe to an extent. No doubt, domonetisation is a great start towards eradication of black money. But it depends on every individual in creating a start to a cash-free society, to mitigate black money.

Aum Singhal blue bells model school

Demonetisation is a very big step taken by the government, but the black money will not stop. as a result, people had got a lesson and will try to keep black money in the form of RS.100. The new currency is more easy for the people to cheat and make duplicate ones.

Tanisha NEW GREEN FIELD SCHOOL(KALKAJI_ALAK

Just claiming that the country will become free of black money is not enough...we all know that there stays a lack of implementation in the scheme.Although the step being a brilliant idea..needs time to be a success story

Bhumika Srinivas V V S SARDAR PATEL HIGH SCHOOL RJR

I don''t agree with this completely.

PARTH DL DAV PUBLIC SCHOOL(SHALIMAR BAGH)

The step taken by Modi gov''t will really apreciate able and will have a great effect on amount of black money, but we can''t say that our country will be free of black money.

Vivikta Lecole Chempaka Kallayam

''''Demonitization'''' cannot be the final solution to put an end to black money . In a recent article, with a picture of a man with a box of new currency notes in the famous ''''Chandni Chowk , shows the underworld markets of the country and how businessmen and common men pose a difficult challenge to our government...

Safina Khatri Canossa High School, Mahim

It can help to eradicate black money from India to a great extent. demonetisation was the most notable step of the BJP government. But it was not brought to practise in a good way. It would have been better. Though all of the black money has not vanished yet, it has decreased to some extent. But it all depends upon the time....Let us see what happens in the next few days....

Abhi Dabas Bal Bharati Public School Pitampura

We will come to know it only at the end of the year.

Abhi Dabas Bal Bharati Public School Pitampura

According to me the country wont be completely free from black money but it will definitely get reduced.

J.PRIYADHARSHINI REVOOR PADMANABHA MATRIC.HR.SEC.SCHOOL

it is indeed a great step but it can''t eradicate the whole black money market and the big shots are anyways gonna escape but definitely they will be get caught by the great demonetisation move of our pm Modi.

Bhavana Jaison Atomic Energy Central School No 2

It will be too early to commend on this . Let''s wait for 50 days to run suggested by our PM .

Mythili Iyer Greenwood High

By year end India cannot be black money free. Black money merchants would be trading things with other black money merchants, and they all will accept Rs. 500 and Rs. 1000. It may take till June 2018 to do this.

Vasudev K.D.A.V School

Demonetisation was no doubt a great step. But to clean black money it is not enough. The government must implement other ways and most of all, people have to join their hands to fight corruption.

Himanshi Dhawan Saffron Public School

Corruption is one of the greatest insurmountable threat for our Indian society. This move is a good one but I don''t think that there will be an instant result. Great things take time. I don''t agree that corruption will vanish from our country by the end of this year.

vsreedattan Lecole Chempaka Kallayam

yes it may be true because our prime minister has launched new notes and he is asking us to use credit card, debit card , paytm more than using notes

Kanak Pandit Children''s Academy, Thakur Complex, Kandivli East

The purpose of demonetisation is to curb the subversive activities. This will reduce corruption and illegal dealings done through cash. If we assist the government to get the rid of black money, then definitely India will be free of black money by the year end.

T.ROGER NICHOLOUS PAUL Amalorpavam Higher Secondary School - Puducherry

yes due to the demonitisation of old 500 and 1000 notes

Ritika Ajith D.A.V Public school

Demonetisation is the first step of the journey towards a developed country-INDIA. This is a Hercules task as black money has been ruling India since decades and thus it is not predictable whether the country will be black money free by the end of the year.

MIHIR KHULBE DEEP MEMORIAL PUBLIC SCH(RAMPRASTHA

The country will not get Free from all the Black money but most of the black money will later get converted into paper.

ojasvi agrawal amity international school

I think so that this is a very big step taken by the government and this step is not just about black money it can affect many things like terrorism, poverty and other things like stepping towards a much more digital India. So it could effect many things and this depends on the situation and the support of people.

Adrija De D.A.V Public School, Thane

It is truly an impossible task as no other country has been able to eradicate black money completely till date.Though PM Modi''s step has received international acclaim, some corrupt people have found ways to tackle this situation smoothly.I acquiesce that demonetisation has resulted in a decrease in amount of black money and Indo-Pak border attacks. But this step will be ultimately useless in the long run.

Aditya Banerjee TAURIAN WORLD SCHOOL - RANCHI

Demonetisation was indeed a beneficial step by our Honorable P.M Mr. Modi. However if he would have discussed about it, the impact would have been far greater and such troublesome issues which have been going on lately wouldn''t have occurred. I believe that our country will in some extent be free of black money by the end of this year. It may not be entirely but as we know change does lead to progress in time. So lets all try to eradicate black money!

SRIDHAR KUMAR MODEL MISSION HIGH SCHOOL

it will be but the employers in the bank should not give the money to rich persons our honourable prime minister has taken the step to abolish black money not to keep again the new notes in their home

yes country can be freed from the the black money only if the people of country want this otherwise no government can stop black money even in 50 years

Dev Kansal BAL BHARTI PUBLIC SCHOOL (PITAM PUR

No,black will not be finished by the end of this year. However there is sudden decrease in the amount of black money. From an estimated wealth of 14 lakh crore around 10 lakh crore has been deposited, this means that more of the black money has been converted to White. What Shah is saying I think that this is a premature statement.

komal KENDRIYA VIDYALAYA (SR.)(AGCR ENCL)

by the year end its not possible.. not because they do not have such potential because the year is almost end. ya. but we can expect that in upcoming year only if the government work honestly, well focued and if people cooperate with government #ISUPPORTMODIJI

VAIDIK RUPAREL Children''s Academy, Ashok Nagar, Kandivli East

Well, this is a debatable topic but for me black money will stop by year end because the way in which our smart P.M. has banned the notes of 500 and 1000 the people who had black money have got scared. Also we should think positive so the black people will come out by the year end. I SUPPORT P.M. - NARENDRA MODIJI.

Even PM Modi accepts that India cannot be entirely free of black money by the end of this year. Demonetization was just the first step. Many more steps are to be taken. Even though we may be half-rid of black money, it entirely eradicating is not possible just so soon.

Khushi Soni Sandipani

It is a great step for country development but this step will take some more years or days to clear black money in our country.

Het Shah DPS Gandhinagar

No not at all... I guess it is not even a matter debate. Its like diamond cuts diamond if you want to come out of black money problems then you need to bribe higher officials of national and international banks and agencies to get the details of people carrying black money.
