Will Demonetisation Influence Upcoming Elections?

Former PM Manmohan Singh has said that demonetisation will be an issue in the Assembly polls. Will it be a referendum on Modi's demonetisation?

That could be the case. The entire nation is reacting to PM Narendra Modi's  move to demonetise Rs 500 and Rs 1,000 notes. It was faulty and the sudden  implementation irked many. The Assembly polls may have a bearing on this policy. The results might reflect public opinion on the move.

Since November last, multiple changes and actions of the existing government have indicated stability and effectiveness in certain areas. To Modi’s credit, an agricultural country sprinting towards a digital world will have a strong voice in the upcoming polls.

These polls will definitely prove to be a positive referendum for PM Modi. The demonetisation act was a smart move. Even though the public faced difficulties initially, it was ultimately accepted. The electorate will show its support to the party in the Assembly elections too.

Yes, there is no doubt about that . India really do appreciate this move, so am I .But there are some drawbacks in this move I hope our honorable P.M will set right them.

Demonetisation has its pros and cons. I think that it would act only as a ‘minor obstacle’ and would not hinder the elections in any other manner.

The assembly polls of 2017 will be a litmus paper to the success of the demonetisation. The drive has bought cash-based economies like our country to our knees .With the majority productive population not owning a bank account how will India transform into a cashless economy overnight? What with the growing line at ATMs, banks. The consensus of the masses will be the result of the assembly election.

Demonetisation had both good and bad effects.... so this move by the present government will surely have a deep effect in the upcoming polls... it depends upon the adult population of the country and time whether the Modi government will be re-elected or not. I as many other Indian consider this as a welcome move but let''s see what time has in store for us....

This step of intelligence by our PM,was welcomed by the whole nation happily, even after facing inumerous difficulties.Definitely this step will affect the elections. The underprivileged sections of the society was affected the most so,these elections will also be a risky one too.If PM Modi can take such a risk for the whole nation''s welfare, then we shall think 10 times before we devote him for next elections.

By Demonetising high denomination currency notes which is roughly 80% of currency in circulation, Modi has proved that he is the Man of the action and he is the leader with determination which will reflect positively in upcoming elections.

Infact it has made huge effect on next upcoming elections, just go few years back you would notice during election Vans with crores of cash has been caught by Election commission and police but look at situations now the amounts are hardly 10-15lacs thats the effect of banning currency notes, These money were used to influence people to cast votes in favour of a specific candidate or political party which has been affected severely, Kudos to Modi.

yes, there will be consequences in the elections, but they will be for black money holders and corrupt Politicians. Honest Contenders have nothing to fear and public will vote whoever they like, that''s their opinion. But Demonetisation might have changed people''s views towards the current Government.

Yes, in my opinion demonetisation will have an adverse effect on demonetisation because the opposition party may highlight the diadvantage of demonetisation and prompt the voters to vote them and they may also promise to solve the problem of demonetisation whereas the ruling party(B.J.P) may highlight the future benefits of note ban and win. However the decision of voters is always unpredictable.

The changes will definately stop black money. Its a good move for the country by our honarable prime minister Narendra Mod I.

yes this will definitely bring some impact on elections because of many simalteneously occurring challenges which has affected the easy going life of all sections of people and many big people are disappointed as their buissness has been affected badly and also middle class and lower class people have suffered a lot .but this slight pain will bring a big gain but the impact will most probably be positive only it depends on time completely that whose command will be cold and whose warm
