Tell Us: Are You Miffed That 'Cursed Child' Is Not A Book, But Script?

By now you know that a few things about 'Harry Potter and the Cursed Child'. For starters, it is the script of the play by the same name, and not a novel. Secondly, it has not been exactly written by J K Rowling. In fact, it is collaboration between Rowling, John Tiffany (play's director) and Jack Thorne (playwright).  Understandably, this has upset a few Potterheads who were hoping for more than merely a reminder of how great the Potter world used to be.  Are you one of them as well? I was very excited about "Harry Potter and the Cursed Child. I expected it to be as magical and wonderful as the first seven books. It wasn''t that way though. Moreover I think that the narrative style of J.K.Rowling is missing. But the book would have been better if it was in a novel type format instead of a script type. I feel that this book is not really what everybody expects it to be.

According to me, Cursed child was expected to be one of the most awaited standard versions of Harry Potter and I just chuckled to see that its script version which brought me a great disappointment. Many of them were actually thinking that cursed child would be like the other books.

Though the books would have been appreciated more by the wide community of readers, a script is something new and will interest people. The fact that there is a sequel to the Harry Potter series would be good enough for readers waiting for more.

I think her series should continue as it is not just the book but a phenomenon in itself. This has led many children of our generation towards reading which has lost ground due to technology invasion.

At first I was very excited about this book, I was mad about it, but when I read it from my friend it was not so much good. The amazing style and literature in which Rowling wrote, that was truly absent. That''s the big disadvantage of this book. That''s why I don''t like this book.

To me, a diamond is a diamond. But its popularity depends on whether it is served with extra sparkles or it is given unpolished. 19 years we Harry Potter fans have waited, so the cursed child came along to teleport me into the world of Harry Potter. But why are fans disappointed? Even if it is in script form it improves our English usage moreover the world of Harry Potter, the magic, the intrigue is the same. So thank you J.K Rowling !!
