Patriotism Shouldn't Overrule Humanity, Feels Masoom

Like it always happens, the first ones to bear the brunt of India-Pak tension are, once again, the Pakistani artistes who pursue their career in India. Amid tension in the wake of Uri terror attack, the Raj Thackeray-led MNS asked Pakistani artistes like Fawad Khan and Mahira Khan to leave India immediately, failing which the shooting of their movies will be stalled.

Pak Actors In India
Pakistani performers have always done well in India, and they have been given the respect and acceptance that would receive in their country, at times more. Rahat Fateh Ali Khan, Adnan Sami (he is now an Indian citizen), Mahira Khan (will be seen in Shah Rukh Khan- starrer ‘Raees’) and ‘Ae Dil Hai Mushkil star Fawad Khan  are some of the hot Pakistani properties in India.

Is MNS right in asking Pak performers to leave? Should politics influence culture? Like Vikram Bhatt right in saying that asking actors to leave will trivialise the entire issue?

Bollywood reacts

Hansal Mehta: "MNS for next central govt. In one master stroke they have solved the India Pakistan problem. After all it is artistes who provoke attacks."
Vikram Bhatt: "We should concentrate on making sure that Pakistan is declared a terrorist state. That should be our effort. This (asking Pak actors to leave) is like trivialising the issue-- whether artists or cricket should be allowed nor not...
Film critic Mayank Shekhar: "Something which is cultural is by nature apolitical. But if it does become political as in this particular case, then that is the political decision that the authorities need to take. It can't be any particular outfit deciding to issue a diktat and everyone living under the fear of what they would do or would not do."

Pakistani artists should NOT be asked to leave India. As said time and again, we must not blame an entire race for the wrong-doings of one group of people from that race. Rather, the person asking them to get out must be sent away.

There is no reason for Pakistani artistes to leave, they do contribute to our Indian Cinema and mark their stand there. Many of them found their dreams come alive in Bollywood. I do not see why they should abandon their dreams. And yes, It is totally wrong to chop away their contribution, it is simply unfair, If BJP does doubt them so much then it can launch and keep a track and eye on them to ensure they are not harming our county. But to me it is very dismaying.

No , its not necessary to force Pakistanis to leave the country. We cannot say all Pakistanis are terrorist. Our aim should be to remove terrorism from the face of the world .

It is quite wrong of MNS to ask Pakistani performers to leave. We shouldn''t mix art and politics.

Kushal Parekh DIVINE CHILD INTL - CHANDKHEDA

Pakistan terrorists attacking india ,is a different thing. But, Pakistani actors leaving india becuse this terror ,does not make any sense. So, according to me ,the pakistan terrorists attacking and pakistani celebrities leaving and going back to pakistan, is totally a different thing. It does not relate with each other at all.

Pakistani artists should not be told to leave the country. The entire country can''t be blamed for some people who like to spread terror in the world and morever it trivialise the whole issue, they are artists not terrorist.

Masoom Grover BHARTI PUBLIC SCHOOL (SWASTHYA VHR)

Patriotism should not over-rule humanity. Artists have nothing to do with the attack and they should NOT be dragged in this situation.

Ritvik Baweja Bal Bharati Public School

It''s not right of MNS asking these Pakistani artists to leave India. These artists have no role in the attacks and are therefore innocent, they shouldn''t suffer in their career due to someone else''s deeds. Instead some other measures should be taken to resolve this issue.

Pakistan actors should not be asked to leave India just because of the Uri attack this not at all called as patriotism. we cannot declare that all Pakistanis are terrorists its really very unfair.

DIWANSHI SHETIJA BHARTI PUBLIC SCHOOL (SWASTHYA VHR)

Pakistani people or artists should not be asked to leave India. The matter is of terrorism and only terrorists should be pushed out.Talent should be respected everywhere, moreover it should be worshiped.Talent and terrorism should be dealt with different opinions.

Hiya Kilam global indian internatonal school

Pakistani artists such as Fawad Khan, Rahat Fateh Ali Khan, Atif Aslam etc. have contributed a lot to India. We re simply stereotyping Pakistanis as terrorists which is not true. We listen to Pakistani singers a much as we do to Indian singers. They have won people''s hearts and have become an inspiration for many youngsters in India. Sending them back to Pakistan will neither bring any good nor will it be beneficial for the industry.

Khushi Sharma BHARTI PUBLIC SCHOOL (SWASTHYA VHR)

No, they shouldn''t be compelled to leave India as they are not at fault. Moreover, mistakes by a few members shouldn''t be imposed on the entire community.

Sanjana Mehta G.D. GOENAKA PASCHIM VIHAR

Art brings together different cultures and binds the world. Asking Pakistani artists to leave India will not defame Pakistan, but it will disparage the spirit of art and culture. India is a land of culture and its heritage gives all forms of art great importance, such a step will go against the ethics of our country . However there is no doubt that Pakistani artists need to speak up and openly say that they condemn such terrorist activity.

Vaishnavi S NAGARJUNA VIDYANIKETAN

No, Pakistani actors need not leave India. Just because Pakistan encourages terrorism, we should not jude its citizens. All Pakistanis are not terrorists

saishalini Bethel Mat Hr Sec School

Humanity plays a main role in this crisis because asking the Pakistan artists to leave India is not the right solution as they are not responsible for this humiliating attacks. They are also humans who long for peace and security in the country.

NAVYA MALHOTRA SWARAJ INDIA PUBLIC SCHOOL

leaving india will make them safer

Sharmeen Khan PADUA HIGH SCHOOL-MANKHURD

No. Pakistani artistes should not be asked to leave India. It is not the artistes who provoke terrorism. Instead they come leaving their land to show that art and culture does not fall under the shackles of religion. The ones promoting terrorism should be punished. Art and culture is a symbol of freedom and peace. Afterall Vasudeo Kutumbakam.

Why should the pakistani actors leave india as there is no fault of them in the attack.

Art is universal. It should not be considered with political isuues.

Archisha Ghosh VIDYA VALLEY

Its wrong if we try to remove from our country as it is quite hurtful. We want our country to be filled with different type of people so that we can learn some of their culture. And it is not their fault about the acts of terrorism that are occurring. This group of people have a different mindset from the Pakistanis who are living here. So it is the wrong race''s problem! Why drive the innocent ones?!?!

A.Shajitha Fathima Bethel Mat Hr Sec School

There''s no difference between human. All are equal. The problem is only with the countries and not people.

Nishi Upadhyay BHARTI PUBLIC SCHOOL (SWASTHYA VHR)

We can talk big and talk about humanity but do not forget that terrorists who attacked in Uri did not think about humanity .Though pakistani artists do not have anything to do with the attack but it is a strategy to create pressure on Pakistani government and it will be a start of people''s movement against terrorism in Pakistan.

JIYA TOMAR B G S NATIONAL PUBLIC SCHOOL

I think that this shouldn''t really be the case at all because while creating humans no god ever distinguished between anybody on the basis of religion or creed or gender or place of origin. He merely made differences in our appearances and traits and nature and certain skills and abilities. It was we the malicious humans who became scandalmongers and started creating walls between people of different kinds and this shouldn''t be the sheer reason for talented artists to flee from INDIA

Pallavi singh PRESENTATION CONVENT(RED FORT)

I think telling pak artists to move to Pakistan will not help in any manner as they have no role to play in provoking the attacks. Instead of asking them to leave we should ask them to support our country deliver our message of peace and conditions of the family of our martyrs to Pakistan in order to reimburse the love, fame and career opportunities that india has provided them.
