Is There No Match For Dhoni In The Team

Fitter and faster than players 10 years junior to him, MS Dhoni is irreplaceable in the Indian ODI team right now, feels national coach Ravi Shastri, who says critics should perhaps analyse their own careers at 36 before finding faults in the former captain.

Dhoni's form with the bat has been heavily scrutinised in the recent past with every failure being looked upon as an ominous sign. However, the talismanic wicketkeeper-batsman did well in the just-concluded limited-overs series against Sri Lanka to silence some of the criticism.

"We are not stupid. I have been watching this sport for the last 30-40 years. Virat has been a part of this team for a decade now. We know, at this age, he (Dhoni) can beat players aged 26. People who talk, forget that they played the game," Shastri told a news channel.

Dhoni's sharp reflexes behind the stumps are still unmatched and chief selector MSK Prasad made it clear that none of the younger guys have quite yet matched up to the game-changer, under whose leadership India won an unprecedented two World Cups. The sentiment was echoed by Shastri, who has been vocal in defending Dhoni in the past.

I totally agree, people might change opinions with new players entering the game. But MS Dhoni is the ultimate champion and game changer.. his sharp reflexes behind the stump are still unmatched. He has lead India into 2 unprecedented world cup victory. He is indeed invincible and an inevitable part of Indian team

Well there are many young talents which are very visible in IPL, but no one has that decision making as a captain or finishing on a high note when needed the most like him

Ishita Singh MOUNT CARMEL SCHOOL(DWARKA)

If a team has young talent it must also have guidance from elders on the field. I don''t see any reason to exclude Dhoni from the team. He has always done more than he was expected for the team. Team India will be incomplete without him. There''s no match for Dhoni as a wicketkeeper in the world. I don''t think the World Cup 2019 will come home without Dhoni being in the team.

Pankaj Singh ARMY PUBLIC SCHOOL BOLARUM

I agree with it, MS Dhoni the ultimate player and a great finisher has led India win two continuous world cup. He is fastest and the best wicket-keeper in the world which makes him an inevitable player of Indian team.

Yoosha Raza RAMJAS PUBLIC SCHOOL(PUSA ROAD)

There is no replacement for MS, he is a perfect player. He knows how to handle different situations. He is not just a excellent wicketkeeper but also a reeky batsman .He has experience, strength and ability.

The recent achievements of Indian cricket team is good. But MS Dhoni is the person paved way for the formation of young talented cricketers in Indian cricket team. Still we cannot see his reflexes in others. Recent fellow 100m race between Hardik Pandya and MS Dhoni shows he is still fit to run the Indian team to victory.

M.Srinivas Aditya Oxford Grammar School

I think Ravi shastri is correct. Dhoni had run out many more than other team wicket keepers. He is even now still fit to make india win. he has the record of playing most matches as a captain. Other cricketers don''t find their own mistakes and don''t rectify them, instead they point out other players who play good.
