Is Sasikala The Worthy Successor Of Jayalalitha?

As netizens oppose Sasikala’s move to be Tamil Nadu CM, to submit petition to President and Governor, let us know what you think about it?

The petition opposing her is a hit
AIADMK general secretary V K Sasikala may be a few days away from taking charge as the Tamil Nadu chief minister, but public dissent against the move is writ large in the virtual world. An petition started late on Sunday evening on online platform Change.org against Sasikala has garnered close to 19,000 signatures-- with 10,000 being added within a span of 15 minutes.

It's Sasikala vs OP
Reasons for signing the petition included the choicest abuse, digging out skeletons that have for long been in the Mannargudi family's backyard and questions over Sasikala's eligibility to lead the state. But the message is clear. People want present chief minister O Panneerselvam to continue to keep the seat warm or elections be held again.

What are the petitioner saying?
"Please respect democracy. The people of Tamil Nadu want reelection," said Kevin Jacob, one of the petitioners in Change.org. "She doesn't deserve it. This is against people's will," said Kamala Sankari, another petitioner.
The petition will be submitted to Governor C Vidyasagar Rao, the President and the chief election commissioner. The public also took to Twitter and Facebook to register their protest against Sasikala taking charge. "We voted for J Jayalalithaa, not her aide. We voted for a government, not a corrupt family. If this happens, RIP Democracy," said the status message of a law student in Chennai.
Sasikala was on Sunday unanimously elected legislature party leader by MLAs at an AIADMK party meeting, paving the way for her to become the chief minister. The swearing in is likely to take place on Thursday.

It is obvious that TN people need reelection.Mrs.Sasikala may be a peer of Late CM but really she don''t deserve such great positions. Moreover she is been arrested once for the disproportionate assets case and it is still a big query why TN acting government is supporting Mrs.Sasikala just because that she was a friend of late CM.Is this qualification alone is enough to become CM???

I don''t feel that Sasikala is the worthy successor of Jayalalitha. Jayalalitha was one of the most important figures in the Tamil Nadu politics. No doubt that she was recognized as a trust-worthy confidant and a lady of principles by the Tamilians. Sasikala on the other hand is more like a politician. Her statements and her activities don''t promote collective good.

As a resident of Tamil Nadu, it is not unusual for us to hear some rumours of Sasikala. Even though she worked with Jayalalitha, she is not worthy of becomin a CM. She had been serving Jayalalitha and has been her friend. But that doesn''t mean she has every quality of Jayallalitha. As said, we badly want a re-election.

Her activities have been badly commented in social media which I hope she herself knew.

Sasikala had been with Jaylalitha always.... so might be she can be a good CM but to respect democracy there should be re-election...

I feel that sasikala is not so courageous enough to face the problems of the state....

Every one knows that....ex cm miss j.jayalaitha once sent sasikala out....I don''t feel she is so trustworthy....

Just being a friend isn''t enough to handle the whole state...

I highly disagree with this because India is a country with a system of government by the whole population or all the eligible members of a state, typically through elected representative and people have the right to choose their rightful leader.Taking into consideration of what petitioners say I highly recommend a reelection for the cm''s post in Tamil Nadu or let present chief minister O Panneerselvam to remain the cm and continue his work without any imbalance.

No because she don''t deserve such type of position.

The chief minister of tamil nadu should be elected democratically. Even though she was a close friend of late J Jayalalitha, she can become the chief minister only if the people of tamil nadu approve. I believe that she cannot replace late chief minister Jayalalitha because of her obsession with business and lack of sense of responsibility in her.

The sudden death of TN CM Jayalalitha disturbed the minds of the TN people. Sasikala is just a relative of Jayalalitha..Not even a relative. Just a friend. So, theTN people are thinking that she may not be suitable to take over Jayalalitha. She is not even qualified for becoming a CM. That means if respected Prime minister Mr. Modi is my close friend I can become the PM after his death according to the TN government.

No, i dont think that sasikala is worthy successor of Jaylalitha. She is not a eligible for this. There should be reelection for Tamil nadu.Sasikala is just a close friend to Jayalalitha .I think she dont know about politics. There is negative impact on her. Many people of TN wont like her to became CM.She may not clear the problems of TN.She wont satisfy the needs of TN state people. At last,I think reelection should done in that state.

Akshita Pandey LILAVATI BAI PODAR (A)-SCRUZ

No, I do not think that Sasikala is worthy of taking Jayalalithaa''s place as she does not know anything about politics and she is also not a political background. They should choose someone who is responsible to handle this post and knows something about politics.
