Have More Women Employees For Greater Safety: Javadekar

Union HRD minister’s call for a greater presence of women employees in schools may provide children, especially girls, a safer environment. But then, there is no surety that women employees won’t harm kids. We need better safety management and strict guidelines to avoid cases of sexual abuse in schools.
Srijita Chakraborty, class X, BDMI, Kolkata

The presence of women in buses may help decrease crime rate. Kids would be able to travel more confidently in the company of someone who potentially cannot hurt them. Appointing women drivers will help men realise how women are changing the society.
Vanshika Lohana, class IX, New Horizon Public School, Airoli, Navi Mumbai

There should be lady moderators in the bus to keep an eye on the activities of the drivers, conductors and kids. Women take up safety more seriously and responsibly. Having said that, the women employees should also be given a set of regulations so that they aren’t lured by the drivers and conductors to indulge in any immoral activities.

More women employees in job, especially in an environment with children would help reduce illness happening to them. Women give first priority to safety and laws. This doesn''t mean that all men are dangerous. But some are our of control. However, I cannot surely say this will help eradicate problems thoroughly. What if those women aren''t sure about their safety?

Sanika Sawarkar NARAYANA VIDYALAYAM NAGPUR

Yes this is a great initiative taken by the HRD minister to look after the safety concern of the childrens as greater presence of women - employees and bus drivers - in schools can help address the issue of safety on campus,

More number of women employees can help tocurb the incidents going on.On the same hand, the children too need to be more vigilant.

Yeah that''s great idea. Women always handle the things with better care

Roma Ramcoumar Bethel Mat Hr Sec School

There is no doubt in it. Women have more patience than men . They care and love for children . so it is very good idea I will be standing as a pillar of support for this .

I totally agree! It will not only help curb the incidents but also it will help men realise how much potential women have and they can change this society! This statement might be really stereotypical towards men but by the end of it if you see its partially correct! Although there''s no sureity that women employees wont harm kids coz being a women is no clarification of your character and behaviour!!

Nanthashree S Sindhi High School, Hebbal

Having more women employees may not bring the crime rate to zero, but it certainly will increase the feeling of safety while traveling. Moreover, this will rejuvenate the self confidence of the women who have taken up this responsibility, apart from aiding them financially.

K.Mahalakshmi Bethel Mat Hr Sec School

Its absolutely correct statements given by the students.Women take atmost care than men.And men can also realize how some women handle things socially, with care and softness. Its good if children are at the care of women employes, but its better if the women employees are given sureity that they will stay safe!
