Has The Digital Push Put Billions Of Indian Identities At Risk?

Excessive reliance on the cyber world has always rendered the common man vulnerable. When hackers step ahead of cyber security and crime investigative agencies, it’s high time one realised the risk which the common not-so-tech-savvy Indian has been exposed to — thanks to the PM's dreams. New India is being ushered into a new unexplored zone.

Though it has made life easier to a great extent, on the other hand, it has put our identities at great risk. Cyber crimes lead to leaking of personal information and money-related data. But Modi’s vision is in the right direction. The West has already gone digital and so should we.

Once again we have rushed into an ‘advanced’ idea without placing a proper foundation in place in terms of the security or infrastructure that are needed when a whole nation decides to go digital. As a result, the very sectors which require digital mobility may end up losing out if this idea fails.

Identity refers to how we understand and define ourselves. Our sense of identity mainly our choices etc. give our lives a sense of direction and coherence. But getting digital has made us vulnerable to security loop holes. The manipulative practices have become very common in this digital world. I feel that the Indian identities are today in big danger.

digitization has really changed the phase of India for example it is quite true that earlier we were knowing about E-WALLETS ,PAY TM etc but we never imagined it as a way to do household shopping in our daily life but after demonetization we got an unwanted digital push that changed the sanerio from cash to cashless or digital and was actually a major change in lives of people.in addition to this it also made work easier. But on the other hand it also paved path to numerous cyber crimes .

Cyber crimes have become more common than other crimes and the digital era is further increasing . I am not against it (we should follow new technologies to make our work easier),but there should be proper safety measures in place to keep the lives of the citizens save.
