Dharamsala Performance An Eye-opener For Us: Rohit

Indian batsmen came a cropper under pace-friendly conditions, prompting captain Rohit Sharma to say that the forgettable performance against Sri Lanka in the first ODI is an eye-opener for the home team.

"We were not up to the mark with the bat. 70-80 runs more and it would have been a different ball game. It is important to thrive in these conditions and come out good. It is an eye opener for all of us," said Rohit at the post-match presentation ceremony here after a seven-wicket loss to Lanka.

India collapsed to 112 all out and Sri Lanka completed the chase in just 20.4 overs. MS Dhoni was the lone Indian batsman who was up to the challenge, hitting a gritty 65.

I feel it is the whole team to be blamed as a whole . Cricket is not an individual game but a game of team work . In fact one of the first things taught is about how to maintain the teamwork. The batsman could have also made more runs

In fact, Cricket is a game of unity. We can’t blame a particular player for the defeat. As the openers and middle order batsmen had failed. As Srilankan bowlers took early breakthroughs of Indian batsmen, I think this would be reason for India’s defeat.

On one side,We have to blame the batting order and their performance in start which caused terror ti the middle-order batsmen and tail lenders except the cool dude Dhoni. But on the counter-part,mas many of the officials and professionals said, the team to win the toss had the chances of winning the game. The Game was really an eye-opener for the team and particularly to Rohit Sharma to work out on their game-plan and their performance

Since the careers of many players are hanging by a thin thread, it''s only reasonable to believe that they have been trying their best to redeem themselves. Every cricketer knows that the only thing that can save his place during bad days is his and the team''s good showing, so the intention to fight and salvage the situation can''t be doubted. Cricket is all about unity integration we can''t blame alone a player of the team . Rather we knowthat the harder we worked, the luckier we''d get.

Well, on 11 Dec an inexperienced Indian cricket team was led by Rohit Sharma who himself was captaining for the first time. This defeat was essential for Rohit and his co teammates to realize their weaknesses and improve. Obviously, a newbie captain can''t be blamed for the defeat of the team.
