Moto Mocks Apple. Epic!

Chinese smartphone maker Lenovo has mocked bigger rivals Apple and Samsung in a YouTube video and a full-page ad in New York Times. The campaign titled 'Skip the Sevens" urges people to go for the company's flagship Moto z smartphone instead of iPhone 7, iPhone 7 Plus, Galaxy 7 or Galaxy Note 7.

In their praise for Moto Z, Lenovo touts Moto Mods as the key feature. Moto Mods are primarily cases that add functionalities like better camera, battery and more. In the 2-minute video, Lenovo convinces iPhone loyalists to switch to Moto Z handsets with Moto Mods.

Titled 'Moto Mods Presents: Skip The Sevens (Focus Groups)', the YouTube video targets so-called iPhone loyalists, makes them sit in a room and shows them the Moto Z smartphone. The twist here is that the presenter initially tells the iPhone users that it is a prototype of the next iPhone model. The handset is then shown acting as a projector, playing loud music and more using interchangeable Moto Insta-Share Projector Mod and JBL SoundBoost Mod.

In the video, the company takes indirect potshot at iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus' battery life by showing the Moto Incipio offGRID Power Pack mod, which is claimed to give 22 hours of additional battery life. For those unaware, the iPhone 7 and the iPhone 7 Plus give 2 hours and 1 hours of extra battery life as compared to the iPhone 6s and the iPhone 6s Plus.

The video concludes with the line (another jibe at Apple): You can make new announcements. Or you can break new ground.

I still don''t think that they can stop the "7 Power" with this. iPhone fans are usually die-hard (like me!) and will not easily be swayed by an ad. After all, by all standards, the iPhone 7 is great and doesn''t need any "mod" pack, though that can be bought from third parties...

These comments cannot decline the production and buying of IPHONE 7 in anyway.

Woh....Sounds pretty good but mods r a bit spoiling its looks and we hve to worry carrying them all.Another option to iphone 7 is the huawei or honor bcoz i dont remember but one of them already hve features like 2 cameras at the back. But iphone fans are mad about them so they would always buy an iphone

Well, most of the people buy iPhone for show-off purpose. Very few of them watch out for the features and other stuff. Still wondering how can "Moto Z" stop the "7 Power"!!!

This phone is much better than the iPhone because it is modular. But I''m eagerly waiting for an even better phone by Google called Ara. Ara is a completely modular phone in which you don''t have to change the entire back but only snap in a card.

I believe that the moto z cannot give i phone 7 much of a breakthrough as apple has value for its brand much more than that of moto and the moto z has nothing great to offer , with the exception of the modularity and i feel that the moto mods are overpriced due to which it reduces its chance to a bigger extent.

Apple is apple , the name speaks for the gadget . Most of the people never check before buying , most of them go with the brand tag the product carries .

cant say. but other than iphone users there is huge public around the world will go for it because it has so many good features.

i don''t think iphone can be replaced by other phones, but still Moto Z is a good step towards development. It''s amazing!!
